The Rio Grand is the river flowing through Albuquerque New Mexico. Every time New Mexico requests a port of entry to Mexico from the United States Congress the Texas congressmen want New Mexico to release 100% of the water in the Rio Grand to Texas. So far no agreement has been reached and there is not a major port of entry from Mexico to New Mexico.
Santa Fe New Mexico is the only state capitol without a major airport. Albuquerque is only 40 Miles away.
